“I was so excited to see
the Diabetes Alert Wristband, my little
boy is 5years old and its great to see a
company clearly marking on a wristband
what condition he has… others just have
the medical info etc. .. I will
definitely be passing the word on to
other mums..”

“I am actually ordering
it for myself as an adult, am extremely
allergic to bees and go into a fit like
state when bitten - brilliant idea as
will be able to were it myself on
excursions / camps etc where people
don't know me -..”

“I kept a newspaper
article dated Thursday 13th
Sept 2007!!!!!! [I keep things for a
long time!] As I was cleaning up my
office in readiness for the new school
year I came upon the article and thought
considering we have approx 12
anaphylaxis children, many with asthma
and a very severe food allergy child in
Preps 2010 that the wrist bands will
help my teachers identify particular
children quickly. As a staff we discuss
and hand out a ‘Students at Risk book’
and we have pictures of children in the
yard duty book but I feel it is way too
inefficient with lower school teachers
not really familiar with upper school
students and upper school teachers not
familiar with lower students. With the
wrist bands – instant recognition of a
potential problem if something occurs at
recess or lunch
Have a nice day”

“I heard about the Kids
Alert wristbands from Facebook, I am a
fan on the Kids Alert Facebook page.
When I saw the wristbands I thought that
is a great idea as my 3yr old son
suffers really bad asthma and is a great
way to let people know that he has
asthma. Thank you again and I look
forward to the delivery of the
wristband.”
Renee
“my son who is
Anaphylactic is starting school next
year and I was showing the school the
wristband yesterday as we are putting
procedures into plan for next year and
they thought they were the best things
they had seen”.

“Thank you Tiffany, they
are great. We heard about Kids Alert
from Allergy SA. We grabbed one of your
brochures from there. I was thinking of
getting my son a Medic Alert Bracelet
but your wristbands seem better for
kids. He is very tiny and I reckon the
colours stand out more than a normal
Silver Medic Alert Bracelet. Plus I
like that you can wash them”.

“The Wrist Band was fantastic for us as
we were travelling around Australia in a
Camper trailer for a year with two young
boys then aged 3 and 4, both with
allergies. This gave us a greater level
of security that we didn't have before
as we were constantly on the move
meeting new people every day who would
always offer things to the boys. Our
first venture into kinder was also made
a lot easier, armed with the Kids Alert
Wrist Band”.
Carina
“I am so grateful that I found your site
and look forward to the wristbands
arriving soon. The girls are also
excited about this! Thanks”.
Judy
“Kidsalert looks cool and is very child
friendly without being too pricy.
Well done at last a practical band and
donation to diabetes Australia I'm
loving it.
Kind regards Fiona”
Dear Tiffany
Thank you for your kind words of support for the work of the Ilhan Food Allergy Foundation. In raising funds towards world class scientific research, education and public awareness, we hope that we can have an impact on the lives of all Australians suffering from food allergy and anaphylaxis.
I would like to congratulate you on the "KidsAlert" initiative you have undertaken to support the cause. I think the wristbands you have provided are a simple and effective means of raising awareness of Anaphylaxis.
We wish you the best of luck in your business.
Yours sincerely
Stephen Dabkowski
CEO
Ilhan Food Allergy Foundation
Thank you, we now have the wrist bracelet and it is great. For grandparents such as us, it's a constant worry that other Mums might hand food to our toddler in a play centre situation - thinking they are being kind.
Please do more advertising, we are telling everyone we know, even the Assistant in our Chemist is ordering one!
Grateful Grandparents
Long Island Early Learning Centre has been piloting the KidsAlert
wristbands.
We have found KidsAlert wristbands to be an
essential component in caring for the children's individual needs and have introduced the wristbands into our centre on a permanent basis.
We have found that using KidsAlert wristbands can eliminate human error. Children wearing the bands feel important and staff feel confident that the child's individual needs are known to all staff, children and parents involved in the program, leaving little room for human error.
We cannot speak highly enough of these simple, innovative wristbands which will keep children alive.
Yours truly
Amanda Tipping
Director
Long Island Early Learning Centre
As a child care worker it has been my
privilege and pleasure to take part in the pilot scheme at Long Island Early Learning Centre.
The children in our centre are our top priority and being able to take the stress off
myself and the other staff working with me has been
enormous. Thanks to Tiffany's brilliant idea for children who suffer from Food Allergies, Asthma, Anaphylaxis or Diabetes. By wearing the KidsAlert
bracelet I have been able to explain with little or no difficulty that we have children within our centre that have the above mentioned needs that they need to be aware of. Tiffany has made three different coloured bracelets that warn me and my staff immediately to what the allergy is. All staff knows about our KidsAlert program and know to seek out a qualified staff member and ask why the child is wearing a bracelet, they know not to give any food to the child before checking.
My job has been made so much easier and I would like to see all centres and in fact all establishments working with children adopt this simple but effective way of keeping our children safe in their environment.
Regards
